RED WINES

Echelon Pinot Noir
Santa Lucia Highlands/California
The flavors of this wine are richly layered and ripe. This is a
beautifully balanced wine which matches well with our Istanbul
Café Guvec (Spiced Lamb) and any of our Kebabs.

Duboeuf Julienas - Chateau Capitan
Beaujolais/France
This wine may be called the happy medium of wines, not as light as
Pinot Noir and not as heavy as Cabernet or Merlot. This one drinks
like heavier style Pinot Noir, pleasant, tender, light and fruity. A fantastic
food wine, especially with our Kebabs, Yalyla Tava (Simmered Lamb
or Chicken) and even our Swordfish dish Kilic Sis.

Coltibuono Cetamura Chianti Tuscany/Italy
A deep berry nose with vibrant expressions of ripe cherries underpinned
by Sangiovese’s typical crispness “ a terrific value” Robert Parker.
Another great wine to go with our Kebabs, Yayla Tava (Simmered
Lamb or Chicken) and the Etli Bamya Guveci (Lamb Casserole).

Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignono Paso Robles/California
This wine has a fruit driven style which translates to versatility
and ease in food pairing. It will go well with the Istanbul Café Guvec
(Spiced Lamb), Istim Kebab and the Karisik Izgara Kebab.

Pavilion Merlot Napa Valley/California
This is a huge merlot almost Cabernet in Style. A great price for
an all Napa juice Merlot. Try it with the Hunkar Begendi.

Artezin Zinfandel by Hess Napa/Mendocino/Amador
Lots of jammy raspberries, black pepper, casis and cloves in
this one. Excellent with any Lamb or Spiced Chicken dish.

Rosemount Diamond Shiraz Australia
The palate is richly textured with well defined, ripe blackberry fruit
flavors, soft generous tannins on the mid-palate and a long, rich finish.
An ideal wine with any of our Lamb dishes especially Etli Bamya Guveci.

Borsao “Tres Picos” Garnacha Borja/Spain
Rich and well-structured, conveying flavors of blackberries,
strawberries and tones of leather, vanilla, and plums.

Chateau Ribebon Bordeaux/France
This wine comes from the 2000 vintage which was an excellent year in Bordeaux.
A dry red perfect for pairing with our Lamb dishes especially.

Penfolds “Koonunga Hill” Shiraz-Cabernet Australia
Balanced structure, with chocolate and mocha clasping a rich mid-palate
of raspberry, blackberry and cassis. A beautiful harmony of these varietals.

Kavaklidere Yakut Anatolia/Turkey
The best selling red wine in Turkey, it is ruby red, light bodied and very refreshing.

Kavaklidere Selection Kirmizi Kavaklidere Selection Kirmizi
Aged in French oak, very spicy and fruity. Strong and robust,
excellent with any of our red meat or game dishes.

WHITE WINES

Martin Codax Albarino Rias Baixas/Spain
Try this Spanish white wine which is in-between an Italian Pinot Grigio
and an unoaked Chardonnay. Because this wine is from close to the
sea it goes perfectly with our Levrek Izgara (Baked Sea Bass), Karides
Guvec (Jumbo Shrimp) and any of our salads.

Volpe Pasini Pinot Grigio - Grivo Fruili/Italy
This light in style Pinot Grigio will pair well with our Yaprak Dolma (Grape Leaves)
and any of our salads, particularly the Cacik Salad (Yogurt and Cucumber).

Lindemans Chardonnay/Riesling Australia
These two grapes combine the richness of Chardonnay and the crispness of Riesling.
Excellent with our salads and any of our dishes that have a touch of spice.

Araucano Sauvignon Blanc Chile
This wine is made by two French brothers who combine the taste of a French and a
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Superb with Ispanak Ezme (Spicy Spinach) and the Coban Salad.

Monmosseau Vouvray
Loire Valley, France
Medium dry with soft, honeyed fruit and a refreshingly vibrant acidity.
Perfect as an aperitif or with the Kalamar Tava (Calamari), Yaprak Dolma
(Grape Leaves) and Sigara Barek (Savory Pastries).

Louis Latour Pouilly Fuisse {poo-yee fwee-SAY} Burgundy/France
This wine is just slightly butter, much less oak than a typical California Chardonnay, which
makes it a great food wine. Try it with Kalamar Tava (Calamari) and any of our seafood dishes.

Hess Estate Chardonnay California/Monterey County
A little more oak than the Pouilly Fuisse, but it’s still made with food in mind.
This is the first year of this Stelvin enclosed Chardonnay. A perfect match with
our Seafood or Chicken dishes, pair it with our Kilic Sis (Swordfish)
or the Vegetarian Musakka for a great combination.

Von Schleinitz Slatestone Off Dry Riesling Mosel Saar Ruwer/Germany
There is no better grape than Riesling to go with any food, if you like White Zinfandel this is
a great sophisticated alternative. This wine is just slightly sweet and pairs well with our
Salads, the Karides Guvec (Jumbo Shrimp) and any dish that has a little spice..

Sea Ridge White Zinfandel California
A bright salmon color and fresh strawberry aromas, a great aperitif wine.

Fitz-Ritter Gewuztraminer Spatlese Pfalz/Germany
The Fitz-Ritter Estate looks back on an uninterrupted history of family ownership and tradition
since its founding in 1785. Dense and deeply extracted nectar and white peach flavors with
elegant spice notes. This wine is fantastic with a host of our seafood dishes,
including Kilic Sis (Swordfish) and Ahtapot Guvea (Octopus Casserole).

Kavaklidere Cankaya Anatolia/Turkey
This is the best selling white wine in Turkey, it is a light colored, full bodied
and very fresh wine that matches well with all seafood and chicken.

Kavaklidere Selection Beyaz White Anatolia/Turkey
This is a very lively wine with a nice panel of flavors. This goes great
with any of our chicken and fish in a sauce dishes.

SPARKLING

Zardetto Prosecco N/V Sparkling Veneto/Italy
Prosecco is lighter in body and easier to drink than the French bubbly. This one is light and
airy with an almost creamy texture and even though it’s dry it offers lots of fruit. Try a glass
of this with one of our salads or appetizers especially the Yaprak Dolma (Grape Leaves).

Marquis De Parlade N/V Sparkling France
An ideal aperitif wine, great when served with any of our salads, the
Sigara Barek (Savory Pastries) and any of our lighter dishes.
